Knockout of cores and sand blends residues out of thin- and thick-walled steel, cast-iron, aluminum, titanic, and other castings weighing from dozens grams to hundreds tons (including precision molding) irrespective of their complexity in conditions of individual, serial, and large-scale production.
The technology is based on the use of a high-voltage discharge initiated between a special electrode and a casting in a fluid. As a result, high-intensity pressure waves and hydraulic flows develop and propagate in a fluid influencing the casting body and core mixture, causing thus destruction and removal of the latter.
