National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in accordance with The Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities"« and its Statute announces a competition for the positions of directors of scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine:
by the Department of Materials Science of the NAS of Ukraine
Institute of Pulse Processes and Technologies of the NAS of Ukraine;
by the Department of Economics of the NAS of Ukraine
State Institution "Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine";
State institution "V.K. Mamutov Institute of Economic and Legal Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine".
According to Statute of the NAS of Ukraine The right to nominate candidates for the position of director of a scientific institution is vested in: the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine, the relevant department of the NAS of Ukraine, members of the NAS of Ukraine, the academic council of the scientific institution, and the teams of scientific departments of the scientific institution. A person may not be nominated as a candidate for the position of director of a scientific institution in cases provided for in part three of Article 9. The Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities"« й The basic principles of the organization and activities of the scientific institution of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, approved by the resolution of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine dated September 29, 2021 No. 291 (clause 4.4., section IV).
A candidate for the position of director of a state scientific institution must be fluent in the state language, have a scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences or Doctor of Philosophy (Candidate of Sciences) and have at least 10 years of experience as a researcher and (or) scientific and pedagogical worker. The same person cannot be the head of the relevant state scientific institution for more than two terms.
When submitting proposals to the relevant departments of the NAS of Ukraine regarding candidates for the position of director of a scientific institution of the NAS of Ukraine, the following documents of the candidates should be attached:
1. Written consent to run for office, which states information about the application or non-application to the candidate of the restrictions established by part three of Article 9 The Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities"«;
2. Researcher's questionnaire (personal record sheet) with a photo;
3. Autobiography (must contain a comprehensive and at the same time concise description of life, studies and activities in chronological order, as well as information about marital status and family composition);
4. Copies of the taxpayer registration number, passport of a citizen of Ukraine (certified by the applicant), work record book (if available) or information on employment from the register of insured persons of the State Register of Compulsory State Social Insurance, copies of documents on higher education, academic degree and academic title;
5. List of scientific works;
6. A document certifying the level of proficiency in the state language in accordance with Part 3 of Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine «On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language»;
7. Certificate of completion of preliminary, periodic and extraordinary psychiatric examinations of the established form;
8. Certificate of no criminal record;
9. Information certificate from the Unified State Register of Persons Who Have Committed Corruption or Corruption-Related Offenses, stating that the candidate for the position has no such offenses;
10. Declaration of a candidate for a position, submitted in accordance with part three Article 45 of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption", provided that the person did not submit an annual declaration for the previous year;
11. Written consent to the collection and processing of personal data.
Copies of documents submitted by the applicant (except for the copy of the passport, which is certified by the applicant himself) must be certified in accordance with the established procedure.
Applicants' documents are accepted by the relevant departments of the NAS of Ukraine within two months from the date of publication of the announcement - until 18:00 July 29, 2026 at the address: Volodymyrska St., 54, Kyiv.

The preparation and holding of elections of directors of scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine are organized by these institutions in accordance with the Methodological Recommendations on the Features of the Election of the Head of a State Scientific Institution, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 14, 2016 No. 998 «Some issues of election and appointment of the head of a state scientific institution».
