
May 14, 2026 at 11:00 at the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the NAS of Ukraine will take place Round table dedicated to Science Day "Recovery of rare earth elements from technogenic waste in Ukraine: challenges, opportunities and practical solutions for sustainable development of communities.".
Organizers: Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Purpose of the event – discussion of the possibilities of extracting rare earth elements from man-made dumps and waste as a tool for ensuring resource security, supporting the "green" transition for the sustainable development of territorial communities in the context of a global shortage of critical materials, as well as developing practical recommendations for the effective use of man-made resources, improving regional policy, and strengthening areas of cooperation between the state, science, and business.
Venue: Kyiv, Panas Myrnogo St., 26.
Format of the event: combined, using the online platform ZOOM.
