Perhaps not everyone remembers that March 8th is celebrated International Day for Women's Rights and International Peace. Today, this name – precisely in this, its full formulation – and even in Ukraine, seems more relevant and symbolic than ever. After all, our fellow citizens are born, grow up, and seek their life calling and self-realization in extremely difficult conditions, unprecedented for the modern civilized world. And they succeed in this brilliantly.
The strength, proactivity and indomitable will of Ukrainian women make the foundation of our community, our state stronger and more enduring against all the winds of history. Without the daily work of our women and their dedication to their cause, today it is impossible to imagine progress in any field, including science. Our researchers establish scientific schools, make breakthrough discoveries, become thought leaders, and strengthen Ukraine's authority in the world. In addition, they often combine scientific work with the education of future generations of scientists, caring for families, and volunteering. Demonstrating that the scientific profession is not only experiments, calculations, and thorough work, but also humanity, empathy, and faith in the best. Of course, it is our sacred duty - as a country and as its main scientific organization - to create favorable conditions for the free and comprehensive development of Ukrainian women.
I bow my head to our defenders, volunteers, and doctors. Thanks to you, we can work and think about how we will live and rebuild Ukraine after the Victory. And I have no doubt that we will win, because you sacrificed your heart, your courage, and your patriotic duty for the sake of freedom and for the sake of all Ukrainians.
Dear women, you are our pride, our support, our success. You deserve the best fate. I thank each of you and wish you a peaceful sky, bright hopes, unquenchable energy, family comfort, prosperity, goodness and health.
Glory to Ukraine, its heroines and heroes!
